Neptune Memorial Reef
Let’s dive undersea for the first unknown attraction which is the Neptune Memorial Reef in Key Biscayne. It has been described as the “underwater city for the dead” which sounds morbid, however offers a spectacular scuba diving experience. You’ll get to explore the cremated remains of some recognisable faces in the diving community which have since been created into concrete memorials. Venetian Pool
Venetian Pool is another unheard of attraction however is titled “The World’s Largest Freshwater Swimming Pool” which makes it a very unique place to visit in Florida. You can visit the Venetian Pool any day of the year and expect to see crystal clear waters thanks to the unique filtering system that has been introduced to create a crisp natural pool to swim in. At least you won’t have to worry about the chlorine getting in your eyes.
Garden of Eden Trail
For those looking at getting a spectacular view on their feet rather than enjoying the popular zip lining in Florida, the Garden of Eden Trail is perfect. The hiking trail has a fascinating history and some very rare plantation along the way. You will get some wonderful views of 4 rivers that run from the Apalachicola River and is definitely a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather Florida is famous for.
Monkey Island of Homosassa
Welcome the Florida’s version of Alcatraz but for monkeys. Monkey Island of Homosassa is a much-loved unusual attraction in Florida that used to be the naughty step for any miss-behaving monkeys. The way this island was created is fascinating and simply from crew members of boats throwing dirt onto this rock pile which has since formed into an island where the bad monkeys go. Devil’s Den
This unknown attraction has recently been talked about and we recommend heading here before everyone knows about it! Devil’s Den is a big cave underground with a opening in the centre of the roof which lets in the sunlight. The cavern is now used as a scuba diving training and recreational facility and you can see steam coming off the water in the winter which is why it has the name of Devil’s Den.
