Orlando Urban Bike Trail
Orlando has miles and miles of off road trails so what better way adventuring down them with bikes with the family! The Urban Bike Trail is a route from Ivanhoe Village to Mead Botanical Garden in Winter Park. The trail allow all bikers, walkers and joggers to see the city in a different way by witnessing scenery of an urban park setting with an option to stop at one of the Loch Haven Park’s art.
Black Hammock Adventures
Jump aboard an airboat and venture into the marshes of Lake Jesup. Black Hammock Adventures is a great family activity in Orlando and should definitely be ticked off the bucket list! You and the family should expect to see wildlife that lives around the lake, especially the Alligators; there are more alligators in Lake Jesup than the whole Florida! Crazy right? The airboat adventure is also a great place to watch the sunset in Central Florida which is a beautiful sight. Food is available at the Lazy Gator bar or Black Hammock restaurant.
Wekiwa Springs State Park
Hike through the wilderness of Florida at the Wekiwa Springs State Park and witness the true natural beauty of the state. The park offers many activities for you and your family to join in such as hiking, a chance to swim in the Wekiwa River or even camp to watch the night sky. Make sure you prepare yourself to witness the variety of wildlife the park has to offer such as wild turkey, deer and the black bear! Guided tours are available and Kayaks and Canoes can be hired to use. Why not do it the Florida way and tour the park on a Horseback ride!
Forever Florida
Another great Orlando outdoor activity for you and the family to participate in is Forever Florida. Forever Florida is a 4700 acre wildlife area home to nine diverse subtropical ecosystems which include Alligators, Black Bears, White tailed Deer and plenty of species of birds. There is also a chance to ride the Rattlesnake; the first zip-line made in the United States!
